President

Derrick M. Quick serves as President of Meridian Settlement Concepts, Inc., a Maryland Title Company dedicated to lowering your closing costs.  As President, Derrick is responsible for the company’s daily operations, clearing title and daily client relations.

Before starting Meridian Settlement, a Maryland Title Company, Derrick served a title attorney in charge of managing the title examination departments for two companies Omni Land Settlement and Richard H. Rosario, P.C..   He was responsible for the reviewing and clearing of all title abstracts in six states (Maryland, Pennsylvania,Virginia, West Virginia and Washington D.C.) for Omni Land Settlement.  In addition to his responsibilities as the head attorney he prepared all documents necessary for settlement.  Derrick began in the industry as a title abstractor in 1995 for Omni Land Settlement.  He has been a licensed settlement agent since 1998.   By the end of his tenure he assisted in managing an office of over 35 employees in addition to managing a department that cleared over 400 titles monthly.  Derrick also served as a member of the Maryland Real Property Planning and Zoning Section  from 2003 to 2005.

Derrick received his Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland School of Law and has been a member of the Bar since June 6, 1996.  He graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice Administration in 1992 from the  Mansfield University of Pennsylvania.

Born and raised in Rockville, Maryland, a suburb of Washington, D.C.  Undergraduate, Bachelors of Science degree in Marketing earned from Salisbury State University, class of 1989. 

He is dedicated to taking care of the customer and lowering closing costs by offering the most competitive pricing as a Maryland Title Company.  

Extensive sales experience in the Telecommunications and Construction fields carried over into the Mortgage Industry with a position of Vice President for the EquiCredit Corporation, based out of Jacksonville, Florida, a subsidiary of Bank of  America.

Six years with EquiCredit allowed him to learn all aspects of the mortgage industry.   He experienced the four primary segments of the industry, lender, broker, title, and real estate agents.  He was responsible for all the sales out of the Maryland branch.   During his tenure, his branch had the 2nd highest volume out of 72 branches in the nation.  Sales at this branch exceeded $7 million monthly.

From 2000 - 2005 he was Director of Marketing for Omni Land Settlement, based out of Timonium, Maryland.   However, his duties covered many aspects of operating and managing a title company.  He received his license from the Maryland State Insurance Commissioner to settle real estate transactions.  As Director of Marketing for Omni Land Settlement he was responsible for all sales related activity in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Washington D.C. and Virginia.  In a five year period he increased sales in excess of 418% and has conducted settlement on over 1500 purchase and/or refinance loan transactions from various broker, lender, and real estate agent sources.
